The 8(a) Advantage

Diné Modular Construction, LLC is certified by the Small Business Administration as

  • 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business
  • Hubzone Small Business
  • Women-Owned Small Business
  • Native American Owned Small Business

8(a) Certification

  • Diné received their 8(a) Certification in 2007.
  • A valuable marketing vehicle in the federal government marketplace.
  • Allows contracting officers to set-aside or sole source projects to us without going through the tedious process of soliciting full and open bids which saves contracting precious time and money. This option is an advantage to the government for many reasons including:
    • Speed
    • Cost
    • Ability to become familiar with a contractor quickly for specialized projects
  • 8(a) companies work directly with the buying agencies to provide specialized products once they are verified by the Small Business Administration (SBA).
  • Under the 8(a) regulations, the contractor is required to “self-perform” work on every job. The Diné team prides itself on the ability to manage all aspects of a project and “self-perform” nearly 30% of the work on each project. This in-house capability gives us an edge when working with strict time-lines and budgets. Any construction job is possible due to our in-house expertise. We are committed to a collaborative process and we have proven success creating project teams that work on aspects of a project:
    • Project Scope Control
    • Schedule Management
    • Design and Space Optimization
    • Team Management
    • Quality Assurance
